Concrete mixer and SUV crash near King City

Albany and Amity residents were injured in the collision of a concrete mixer and a sports utility vehicle southwest of King City.

The driver of the SUV, 56-year old Francis Hill of Albany, was taken to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph with moderate injuries, while 32-year-old Zachary Soloman of Amity was also transported to Mosaic Life Care with minor injuries.

The Saturday morning accident in northeastern Andrew County happened at the intersection of Route M and AA as the concrete mixer was eastbound on Route AA and the sports utility vehicle was southbound on Route M. The patrol reports the concrete mixer hit the front drivers side of the SUV demolishing the vehicle, the concrete mixer had moderate damage.

Both occupants were wearing seatbelts.
