A community fireworks display will be held in Trenton at dusk on the July 3rd with Haley’s Fireworks of Moberly setting off the fireworks in the grassy area north of the Trenton Rock Barn.
Diane Lowrey chairs the volunteer committee of community members organizing the event and helping to collect donations to pay for the display. Several businesses, organizations, and individuals have made contributions, but additional funds are needed. The committee encourages all members of the community to support the display by helping pay for its cost of $4,000. Donations may be left at the Trenton Area Chamber of Commerce office or mailed to the Chamber at 617 Main Street in Trenton, Missouri, zip code 64683.
The Chamber is serving as the collection point for the funds, but it is not sponsoring the event. Donations may also be left at the Republican-Times newspaper office in Trenton.
