A new police officer has been hired for the city of Chillicothe.
Following a unanimous vote of the city council Monday night, Brandon Johnson of Chillicothe was employed as a policeman. The former Breckenridge resident began training yesterday.
Johnson is a 2009 graduate of Southwest Livingston County.
He graduated last month from the Missouri Sheriff’s Training Academy held in Clinton, Missouri. That class involves 700 hours of basic law enforcement training.
The city of Chillicothe reports Brandon Johnson was Valedictorian of his class and had perfect attendance.
