City Council meeting agenda for Monday, March 27, includes budgets

Proposed fiscal year budgets for the city of Trenton and the municipal utilities are on the agenda for the next meeting of the Trenton City Council.

The budgets, presented in the form of ordinances, will be presented to the council after several meetings involving the finance and utility committees.

The ordinances include setting employee and officer positions as well as compensation for the one-year period from May 1st through April 30th of 2018.

The budget also authorizes equipment purchases and many other expenditures.

Another ordinance authorizes an agreement between the city of Trenton and Irvinbilt Constructors Incorporated of Chillicothe. This involves the previously-approved purchase and installation of two raw water valves for the TMU plant.

The council is to consider a bid for a new tractor for use by the sewer department as well as a discussion of boats at the city reservoir. Both items are a continuation of discussions at a previous city council meeting.

The city council meeting Monday night, March 27, begins at 7 o’clock.

Also at City Hall, the Trenton building and nuisance board meets at 6 o’clockThat agenda includes the declaration of a nuisance at 1913 Lulu Street.

Also to be discussed the current housing demolition projects as well as updates on current structures and nuisances. Both meetings at city hall Monday are open to the public
