Circuit court has light case load on Tuesday

Among cases Tuesday in the Associate Division of Grundy County Circuit Court.

Charges against a Milan resident, Anthony Daniel Shoemaker, were amended to misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Shoemaker pleaded guilty to the new charge. The court followed a plea bargain agreement and imposed a fine of $300 plus $150 payment to the Grundy County Law Enforcement Fund, and court costs.

Kansas City resident Logan Brandon Lee England pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor charges: possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. England was fined $300 dollars on each count and ordered him to donate $150 to the Grundy County Law Enforcement Fund and to pay court costs.

Trenton resident Aaron Michael Perez pleaded guilty to two counts: interfering or resisting arrest or detention as well as assault in the fourth degree, special victim.  The court followed a plea bargain agreement and sentenced Perez to 11 days in jail on each count. The sentences run concurrently.

Perez was given credit for serving those days and released. He also was ordered to pay $150 to the Grundy County Law Enforcement fund and pay court costs.
