The Chula Street Fair is set to begin on Saturday, September 17, with a full slate of activities.
You can start your day with biscuits, gravy, and coffee which will be available from 7 until 9:30 at the Community Center for a free will donation which benefits the Chula Rural Fire Department.
A baby show begins at 9 o’clock at the Baptist church with sign-up at 8:30. There is a $3.00 registration fee.
A cake walk begins at 10:30 with the big parade starting at 11 o’clock Saturday morning with a theme of “Keepin’ the American Dream Alive.” Participants in the parade are to meet at the Chula school at 10:30 for the parade line-up.
Human Foosball begins at Noon behind city hall with sign-up at 11:30. Teams are to have six members, with at least two of them female.
A mini rod and tractor pull south of the park begins at Noon and a pedal pull begins at 1 o’clock, with carnival games scheduled from noon until 4 o’clock. Street games are also slated to begin at 4 o’clock.
A washer tournament will be held at 2 o’clock behind the Chula Community enter.
Miss Cornstalk contestants will be introduced at 5 o’clock with the winner announced at 7 o’clock.
The Chula Rural Fire Department holds a fish fry from 5:30 until 7 o’clock accepting free will donations for the food with proceeds going to the fire department and the community center.
A Family Feud event begins at 7 o’clock with DJ music by Kenny Estes from 7 until 10.
The Little Miss and Master are to be announced at 8 o’clock with Raffle drawings at 8:30 Saturday night at the Chula Street Fair.
