The Highway Patrol reports a Chillicothe woman sustained moderate injuries when her car overturned on LIV 228 west of U. S. 65 Thursday morning.

Twenty-year-old Taisia Zeger Pagliai drove east when the vehicle crested a hill and traveled into the westbound lane of LIV 228. The driver reportedly overcorrected, which caused the car to skid and run off the south side of the road, striking an embankment, and overturn. The car came to rest on its driver’s side facing south and was totaled. The Patrol reports she did not wear a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

Chillicothe Fire Captain Les Hinnen reports the Chillicothe Emergency Medical Services assisted by using a glass cutter to remove the windshield and a reciprocating saw to remove part of the roof of the car in order to get to the driver.

EMS transported Zeger Pagliai to Hedrick Medical Center of Chillicothe.
