A Chillicothe woman is due in circuit court next week in following her arrest last week in connection with a death of another Chillicothe woman in April.

54-year-old Rena Boley has been charged with one count of first-degree involuntary manslaughter for an April 16th incident.

The Chillicothe Police Department took Rena Boley into custody June 9th in the 400 block of Calhoun Street. The investigation into the death of 40-year-old Jennifer Daniel was conducted in mid-April by Chillicothe Police and Livingston County Coroner’s office in the nineteen 19-hundred block of Polk Street at Chillicothe.

Media reports indicate the investigation led authorities to believe Rena Boley and Jennifer Daniel were taking Oxycontin pills together, allegedly provided by Ms. Boley. A report also alleges morphine was injected into Ms. Daniel’s mouth after she had passed out.

Autopsy reports indicate that the woman died of a drug overdose.

Online court information shows that Rena Boley is to be in Livingston County Circuit Court June 22nd for a preliminary hearing.

Bond is 25 thousand dollars cash only. After processing at the police department last Thursday, Ms. Boley was transferred to the Daviess-DeKalb county regional jail.
