A Chillicothe woman and young child were injured in the collision of two cars in southwest Missouri’s Hickory County.
Twenty-eight-year-old Jami Miller and an 11-year-old girl were taken to the Citizen’s Memorial Hospital in Bolivar. The youth received moderate injuries and Ms. Miller had minor injuries. The driver of a second vehicle, 70-year-old Judith Shiverdecker of Pittsburg, Mo received moderate injuries and also was taken to the Bolivar hospital.
Friday afternoon’s accident happened on Highway 64 in Pittsburg as the westbound car driven by Shiverdecker allegedly failed to yield and turned into the path of the eastbound Miller automobile.
Vehicle damages were moderate and all occupants were using seat belts.
