A Chillicothe teenager, 17-year-old Blake Curtis, received moderate injuries when the sports utility vehicle he was driving was involved in a rollover accident one mile west of Chillicothe. Curtis was taken by ambulance to Hedrick Medical Center. The reported note he was using a seat belt.
The highway patrol reports Curtis was eastbound on County Road Old 190 when the SUV went off the right side of the road, the driver over-corrected, the vehicle returned to the road where it traveled off the left side and overturned striking a utility pole.
The vehicle, which came to rest upright, received extensive damage in the accident after 9 o’clock Monday morning.
