Police car with lights, siren and police tape

Livingston County Sheriff Steve Cox reports Deputy Sheriff/School Resource Officer Mike Lewis began an investigation this week of a Chillicothe High School student allegedly being threatened by another student at the school.

The juvenile suspect in the case allegedly had been harassed by one or more other students and had a hat taken. The suspect then allegedly pulled out a pocketknife and threatened another student. Cox reports no one was injured in the incident.

Lewis met with the juvenile, parents, and a juvenile officer about the incident. Cox notes the school will handle administrative issues, and the case will be turned over to the juvenile office for consideration of charges.
