When it comes to rivalry, you can always see a bit of good natured fun between police and fire departments.

To that end, the Chillicothe Police Department and the Chillicothe Fire Department are coming together on October 1, to test themselves in the “Battle of the Badges,” a softball game that will benefit the Grand River YMCA Backpack Buddy Program.

The fun begins the evening of October 1 at 7:00 o’clock at Dannar Park (blue field) with admission to the game being a simple free will donation. All proceeds will benefit the Backpack Buddy program. Concessions will be available at the game, and both departments would love to see you come out and cheer for your favorite team, have some fun and at the same time, help some kids.

You can follow updated announcements on both departments Facebook page, with the Chillicothe Police Department HERE, and the Chillicothe Fire Department HERE.
