Chillicothe Police respond to accident at junction of US-36 and 65 Highway

Chillicothe Police Department Officers were dispatched to a one vehicle accident at the junction of US 36 and US 65 Highway on Tuesday afternoon.

A vehicle driven by Dennis Norvill was traveling eastbound on the Hwy 36 off ramp, continued through the intersection of Hwy 65, went airborne as it left the roadway and impacted in the grass approximately 132′ from Hwy 65.  The Norvill vehicle then continued approximately 66′ through a ravine, impacting the east side of the ravine coming to a rest in the grass on the south side of the Hwy 36 eastbound on-ramp.

A passenger in the vehicle was transported to Hedrick Medical Center by ambulance. Norvill complained of minor injuries but refused medical treatment at the scene. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Perry’s Towing.

Officers reported extensive damage to the vehicle.
