Chillicothe Police Department: Several arrests, an accident and a response to a sexual assault

The Chillicothe Police Department remains busy with calls for service over the last week.

Service call highlights include officers responding to a two vehicle non-injury accident at Third Street and Walnut Street. Officers reported a vehicle driven by Mary Harper struck a vehicle driven by Mary Murphy causing minor damage to the vehicles.

David Corbin was arrested for speeding and being a minor in possession of alcohol following a traffic stop at Washington and Ryan Lane. Corbin was cited and released.

Officers arrested Alisha Cheeney for driving without headlights and driving while suspended following a traffic stop at Washington Street and Curtis Street. Cheeney was processed at the police department, cited, and released.

Joshua Hyde was arrested in the 1100 block of South Mitchell on a Caldwell County warrant for failing to appear on an original charge of driving without a license.  Hyde was processed at the police department and transferred to Caldwell County.

Officers arrested Casey Lester for speeding and driving while suspended following a traffic stop at Washington Street and Clay Street.  She was processed at the police department, cited, and released.

Officers arrested Richard Perkins in the 1500 block of North Washington Street on a Platte County Warrant for failing to appear on a traffic charge.  Perkins posted the required bond and was released with a future Platte County Court date.

Officers received a report of an alleged sexual assault in the 600 block of Webster Street.  This investigation is on-going.
