The Chillicothe Police Department requests community assistance with an investigation into reports from Thursday of someone getting into unlocked vehicles, breaking into vehicles, and spray painting vehicles parked along several streets.
The department notes the crimes took place in the 1000 block of Cooper, 1400 block of Calhoun, 1200 block of Jackson, 100 block of Clay, 900 block of Third, and 500 block of Samuel.
Wallets and cards were allegedly stolen from some of the vehicles but were later found away from the residences and vehicles. Officers have talked to several people, have a couple of leads, and have possible video surveillance.
