The Missouri Intergovernmental Risk Management Association has provided the Chillicothe Police Department with a grant for $2,635.75 for an in-car camera.

Sergeant Jeremy Stephens authored the grant, which the police department reports will assist with the cost of equipment when the new patrol vehicles arrive.

The department has received more than $100,000 in grants in the last few years for technology and equipment and has applied for several grants. The department plans to continue to apply for grants, and wants to use grants and city funds “in the best way possible.”
