An investigation into multiple reports of theft of motor vehicles, burglaries, and stealing in October has led to three individuals being charged in Livingston County.

Chillicothe Police Chief Jon Maples reports a 25-year-old Odessa man was charged with theft of a motor vehicle and has a $20,000 bond. He says a 22-year-old Carrollton woman was charged with theft of a motor vehicle as well as burglary and stealing with a $20,000 bond and a 25-year-old Kansas City woman was also charged with theft of a motor vehicle.

Officers are working with the prosecutor and are in the process of getting the stolen property back to rightful owners and notes they are still applying for more charges on the individuals as well as another person of interest.

Four of five vehicles reported stolen and a trailer have been recovered. A vehicle reported stolen from another jurisdiction was also recovered in Chillicothe. Officers received several tips on the investigation and worked with multiple jurisdictions, including the Trenton Police Department and Sheriffs Offices of Grundy, Livingston, and Carroll counties.

Maples expressed appreciation to officers for their work and dedication, the community for partnering with the police, and Livingston County Prosecutor Adam Warren.
