Chillicothe police arrest driver after traffic stop

A traffic stop in the 1300 block of North Washington Street in Chillicothe overnight for an alleged registration violation led to the driver’s arrest.

Assistant Chillicothe Police Chief Rick Sampsel reports the driver was found to be in possession of a controlled substance, be in possession with intent to distribute, and have paraphernalia. The driver was also accused of a weapon violation, no insurance, failure to register a vehicle, no driver’s license, and no seat belt.

The person was processed and transported to the Daviess-DeKalb County Regional Jail pending the filing of charges.
