The Highway Patrol reports a deer entered Highway 6 in western Sullivan County and was struck by an eastbound car one mile east of Humphreys.
The driver, 55-year-old Mitchell Mayer of Chillicothe, received minor injuries and was taken by a personal vehicle to the Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe.
Damage to the car was moderate Mayer was using a seat belt.
