The highway patrol reports a Chillicothe man was injured, then arrested last night, following a single vehicle accident one mile east of Chillicothe.

The patrol reports 41-year-old James Cranmer refused treatment at the scene for what it described as a minor injury.

Troopers reported Cranmer was northbound on county road 247 when his pickup traveled through the intersection with county road 238 striking an embankment and a utility pole.

Afterward, the highway patrol accused James Cranmer with driving while intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving, and not wearing a seat belt.

The pickup received extensive damage in the accident about 9:30 Tuesday night.
