Chillicothe man injured in southwest Missouri car crash

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is reporting minor injuries in an accident to Chillicothe and Aurora, Missouri residents.

The accident happened late Saturday afternoon nine miles south of Aurora at the intersection of Highway 39 and Route WW.

An SUV driven by 35-year-old Carl Tannehill of Chillicothe was eastbound on WW when he attempted to turn onto highway 39, colliding with a car driven by 45-year-old Julie Davis of Pierce City who was southbound on Highway 39.

Tannehill and 38-year-old Crystal Hanners, a passenger in Tannehill’s SUV were transported to Mercy Hospital in Aurora, Missouri.

The patrol reports both vehicles were demolished, and all three individuals were wearing seatbelts.
