A Chillicothe man was hurt when the all-terrain vehicle he was operating on a river levee traveled into a wooded area, down an embankment throwing him from the ATV.
54-year-old Paul Weese of Chillicothe was flown by medical helicopter to Liberty Hospital with serious injuries.
The accident happened early Saturday on a Grand River levee three miles southeast of Chillicothe just west of Livingston County 259.
The ATV sustained moderate damage with the patrol noting Weese was not wearing a safety device.
