The Chillicothe Police Department requested the Chillicothe Fire Department respond to a possible trailer fire in the 100 block of Herriford on Friday night.
Fire Lieutenant Rob Williams reports firefighters found light smoke in the area and flames visible inside the camper upon arrival. A one and three-quarter-inch hand line was deployed, and about 200 gallons of water were used to extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Division of Fire Safety as well as the Chillicothe Fire and Police departments.
Williams says the owner of the trailer is to be determined with the department on-scene for more than two hours.
