The Chillicothe Fire Department was called Wednesday afternoon to Locust Street upon the report of flames coming from under the hood of a pickup truck.
When firefighters arrived, no fire was showing, however, the driver stated he had poured water on the fire to get it extinguished. Firefighters noted a small amount of damage to the carburetor and wiring. A tow truck was called to assist the driver.
The department listed the owner of the pickup as Michael Speckhals of Mooresville.
