Chillicothe FFA members attend Area II Awards Recognition Night

Chillicothe FFA members attended the Area II FFA Awards Recognition Night held at the Gary Dickinson Performing Arts Center in Chillicothe.

Awards recognition night is held each year to recognize members of the 28 area school that make up the Area II FFA Association for their outstanding achievements during the year.

Students were recognized, at the area level, in several categories including the fall speaking contests, FFA speaking contests, books, contests, talent, Area FFA Degree, trapshooting awards, proficiency awards, and officers.

Claire Shipp, 2017-2018 Area II Reporter, and the rest of the Area II Officer team conducted the ceremony. At the conclusion of the night, Kaylee Lewis was initiated as the 2018-2019 Area II 1^st Vice President.

Area Proficiencies were as follows: 3^rd Molly Jones – Agriculture Communications; 2^nd Zoe Souders – Agriculture Education; 1^st Kimberlee Roney – Dairy Production Placement; 3^rd Garrett Cramer – Diversified Agriculture Production; 2^nd Isaiah Boon – Diversified Crop Production Entrepreneurship; 2^nd Colton Peel – Diversified Horticulture; 1^st Cameron Moore – Equine Production Entrepreneurship; 1^st Jessica Moore – Equine Production Placement; 3^rd Lydia Martin – Food Service; 1^st Laney Gaston – Grain Production Entrepreneurship; 1^st Colton Peel – Landscape Management; 3^rd Jordan Hopper – Poultry Production; 3^rd Maggie Pfaff – Sheep Production; 1^st Liberty Cox – Small Animal Production & Care; 1^st Lane Peters – Specialty Animal Production; 2^nd Kaylee Lewis – Swine Production Entrepreneurship; 2^nd Drake Bradley – Turf Grass Management; 2^nd Kennedie Kieffer – Vegetable Production; and 2^nd Claire Shipp – Veterinary Science.
