Chillicothe enrollment down by 60 from last school year

Chillicothe R-2 School District

The Chillicothe School District reports a first-day enrollment of 1813 students.

That number is down 60 compared to last year with the decrease attributed to one of the largest graduating classes at Chillicothe this past Spring, followed by a kindergarten class this school year that’s smaller than any of the grades.

Kindergarten has an enrollment of 111 students with fifth grade the largest reporting in with 159 students.

Chillicothe shows 809 students at the elementary level, which is kindergarten through fifth grade.

There are 437 in the middle school grades comprised of sixth through eighth grades, with the Chillicothe High School reporting a total of 567 students in grades 9 through 12.
