The Chillicothe Area Arts Council has been monitoring the situation regarding the Coronavirus, as well as following recommendations from health professionals and local, state and federal officials.
The advice coming from all levels of health professionals is to practice “social distancing” and avoid large crowds, which can be very difficult to accomplish in a theatre environment.
To that end, the council feels they have no alternative but to cancel the performance of “The Emperor’s New Clothes”, which was scheduled for Tuesday, April 7, at 6 pm at the Gary Dickinson Performing Arts Center.
The arts council regret having to take this action but find it necessary to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
