Certified Child Passenger Safety technicians will assist parents and caregivers on proper car seat installation and usage at a car seat check in Trenton next week.
Parents and caregivers can bring their vehicle and car seat they would like checked or installed to the free event at the Grundy County Health Department the afternoon of September 27th from 12:30 to 3:30.
Anyone who cannot attend the car seat check can visit seat check (dot) org to find a certified technician.
The Missouri Department of Transportation reports Missouri law requires children younger than eight years old to be in a child safety or booster seat until they are 80 pounds or four feet nine inches tall.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports three out of four child safety seats are improperly installed.
