Changes made to online draw system for Swan Lake waterfowl hunters

Swan Lake National Wildlife Refuge south of Sumner will host a waterfowl hunting scouting day next week.

Hunters will be able to access the waterfowl hunting units at the Refuge Visitor Center October 7th from 9 o’clock in the morning to 5 o’clock in the evening.

Refuge Manager Steve Whitson will also answer questions.

Some changes have been made to the online draw system the refuge uses and hunters will need to set up a RecAccess account to apply for the online draw which can be done HERE.  The application period for the draws starts October 1st.

Applications for draw one can be submitted until the night of October 20th at 7 o’clock, for draw two until the night of November 5th at 7 o’clock, for draw three until the night of November 17th at 7 o’clock, and for draw four until the night of December 8th at 7 o’clock. The accessible A7 Blind can be reserved by individuals with disabilities.
