A change in building location has been announced for the quilt show during this weekend’s’ Missouri Day Festival in Trenton.

The event is now planned for the former business location of Mr. Movies. That’s the second business location west of the former JC Penney’s building. A spokesman for the quilt show reported that upon entry into the Penny’s building, leaks were observed. The management company for the Eastgate Shopping Center has been notified of the roof issue at the Penney’s location.

All other information remains the same for the quilt show: open Friday from 5 to 8 o’clock; Saturday 11 to 5 o’clock; and Sunday 11 to 3 o’clock.

There’s a two dollar admission fee to go toward expenses of future quilt shows.

This event is hosted by the Scrappy Quilters Quilt Guild, and quilts were to have been entered into judged or non-judged categories as the entry deadline has passed.

The event also includes vendors and the sale of raffle tickets for a chance to win an “Opportunity Quilt.”
