The Missouri State Highway Patrol is asking motorists to use extreme caution in the area of the Bicycle Across Missouri ride June 12th through June 17th.

The ride starts in St. Joseph and ends at Hannibal, with evening stops at Hamilton, Chillicothe, Brookfield, Macon, and Shelbina. The route travels near, and occasionally on, Highway 36.

In addition to the communities where evening stops are scheduled, the route includes several other towns in this area, Cameron, near Dawn, Utica, Chula, Linneus, Rothville, Marceline, and Bevier.

The highway patrol says around 700 bicyclists are expected for the event. They’re asked to obey the rules of the road, wear highly visible clothing, and to use a properly fitted helmet.
