Candidate from Worth files for office of State Representative District 2

A candidate from Worth filed on Thursday for State Representative District 2 for the August Primary Election. Bridget Gibson filed as a Democrat at the Missouri Secretary of State’s Office in Jefferson City. Filings Tuesday for Second District State Representative were incumbent J. Eggleston of Maysville as a Republican and Mindi Smith of Union Star as a Democrat.

Five candidates have filed as Republicans for State Representative District 8: Gary Stroud of Lawson, Billy Babcock of Osborn, Darlene Breckenridge of Cameron, Randy Railsback of Hamilton, and David Woody of Lathrop. Current Eighth District State Representative James (Jim) Neely of Cameron has filed for governor as a Republican.

Only one candidate has filed for each of three area State Representative districts so far. Incumbent Denny Busick of Newtown filed for District 3, Ed Lewis of Moberly for District 6, and incumbent Rusty Black for District 7. They all filed as Republicans.

For State Senator District 21, incumbent Denny Hoskins of Warrensburg is the only candidate so far. He filed as a Republican.

Candidate filing for the August Primary lasts until March 31st.
