The President of the Livingston County Library Board of Directors Margaret Vance announced on behalf of the Library Board, along with Staff and Community Committees, the appointment of Candice Warren as the new Director of the Livingston County Library.

Warren will begin the position on July 1st. She replaces Robin Westphal, who is moving to the position of Director at Johnson County Public Library in Mountain City, Tennessee. Westphal served in the Director position at the Livingston County Library for 12 years.

“I’m excited, and humbled, to be selected for the position of Director of the Livingston County Library. I look forward to working with the staff to continue to bring wonderful programming, great customer service, and collaboration with community entities,” stated Warren. Warren has been serving as the Livingston County Library Head of Children’s Services for 4 years. In that time, she and her staff has implemented many new initiatives, such as 1,000 Books before Kindergarten, Dial-a-Story, and partnering with many schools and daycares.

According to Mrs. Vance, “The selection of Candice Warren as Library Director was a group effort. The library staff, community members, and the Library Board members participated in the process.”
