A Cameron resident, 64-year old Ruth Powers, was hurt when the SUV she was driving overturned off Old Highway 36 east of Cameron this (Friday) morning.
Ms. Powers was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center with what the Highway Patrol called moderate injuries.
The accident was two miles east of Cameron. The westbound vehicle traveled partially off the right side of the road, Ms. Powers over-corrected, and the vehicle went off the left side of the road, and overturned once, coming to rest on its wheels. The vehicle was demolished. Ruth Powers was not wearing a seat belt.
