A Cameron teenager was injured Sunday afternoon when the car she was driving overturned four miles east of Lathrop.
The highway patrol reports 16-year-old Makayla Provin of Cameron received moderate injuries and was taken by an ambulance to the Liberty Hospital. The driver was using a seat belt.
The car was southbound when it traveled off the west side of Highway 69, the driver overcorrected when the car returned to the roadway and then went off the west side again where it struck a tree and overturned onto its top.
Provin was using a seat belt and the car was demolished in the accident at 3:30 pm Sunday. Assistance at the scene of the crash was provided by Lathrop Fire Department.
