A Cameron resident, Sixteen-year-old Jordon Weisgerber, was injured in an accident three miles north of Osborn Tuesday and taken by private vehicle to Cameron Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.
The patrol reports the teenager was westbound on Gridley Road, attempted to halt the pickup he was driving at a stop sign for Highway 33, but the brakes apparently failed. The vehicle crossed the highway with the driver exiting the vehicle, landing on the roadway. The truck then went through a fence before coming to a stop in a field.
Damage was moderate for the pickup in the accident about 5 o’clock Tuesday and the patrol report noted Weisgerber was using a seat belt.
