Cameron man hurt in Clinton County crash

A Cameron resident was injured this morning when the car he was driving traveled across Highway 33 in Clinton County and struck an embankment.

28-year-old Matthew Hunter of Cameron was listed by the highway patrol as receiving moderate injuries. He was taken by ambulance to Mosiac Health Care hospital in St. Joseph.

The highway patrol reports Hunter had been westbound on Route T when he allegedly failed to halt for a stop sign. The car was demolished in the 6 a.m. wreck.

Hunter was not using a seat belt according to the highway patrol report.
