A Cameron man was hurt Friday afternoon when the car he was driving was involved in an accident with a tractor-trailer unit on Interstate 35 in the Kearney area.
21-year-old Richard Furgeson of Cameron was transported to Liberty Hospital with minor injuries while the truck driver, 56-year old Jane Vega of Miramar Beach, Florida was not reported hurt.
Both vehicles were southbound on I-35 when the tractor-trailer unit changed lanes, forcing Furgeson’s car off the road. The car returned to the driving surface, hit the truck, and then went off the right side of the pavement and overturned.
Damage was listed as moderate to the car and minor to the truck.
Both occupants were wearing seatbelts.
