Cameron High School will be honored at the Missouri Powerful Learning Conference next week for its commitment to professional learning opportunities for students.

Cameron High School is one of nine schools to be named an Exemplary Professional Learning Communities School for promoting cultures focused on collaborative learning while effectively using data to increase student achievement.

Commissioner of Elementary and Secondary Education Margie Vandeven says school leaders and teachers at those schools are “passionate about the long-term success of their students”.

Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Assistant Commissioner Chris Neale will present the awards to the schools named Exemplary Professional Learning Communities Schools.

The Missouri Professional Learning Communities Project began during the 2003-2004 school year.
