The Highway Patrol reports a Cainsville man died as the result of a one-vehicle accident 10 miles west of Princeton on Route CC believed to have happened Monday night.
A spokesperson from the Patrol says 49-year-old Michael Famuliner was pronounced dead at the scene by the Mercer County sheriff Tuesday morning after the sheriff’s department received a call about the accident. The Mercer County coroner transported the body to Greenlee Funeral Home in Princeton.
The crash report notes Famuliner was northbound on Route CC when his pick up truck skidded, ran off the west side of the road, became airborne, and rolled one time. The driver was ejected from the truck and came to rest on the west side of the vehicle before the truck itself came to rest on the west side of the road. Famuliner did not wear a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
Mercer County Emergency Medical Services assisted at the scene. Michael Famuliner is the first traffic fatality in Mercer County this year.
