A Brookfield woman received what the highway patrol called moderate injuries in a single vehicle accident this morning on Route KK five miles northeast of Purdin.
The highway patrol said 19-year-old Gabrielle Munsterman was taken to the Pershing Hospital in Brookfield.
The car she was driving was northbound on the lettered highway when, according to a state trooper, the car went out of control on the ice-covered road left the highway and struck a fence causing extensive damage to the car.
Ms. Muntersman was using a seat belt in the accident just before 8 am Monday.
Assisting the highway patrol were the Linn County Sheriff’s office and the Linn County Ambulance service.
