The Brookfield Police Department reports the execution of a search warrant in the 700 block of South Main Street on Monday led to the arrest of two individuals as well as the recovery of drug paraphernalia, a crystal-like substance, cell phones, and currency.
Online court information indicates 36-year-old Gary Smith of Brookfield and 32-year-old Tiffany Mayfield of Marceline have both been charged with felony first degree trafficking drugs or attempt. The Brookfield Police Department reports the crystal-like substance officers recovered would field-test positive for methamphetamine, weighing about 73 grams, and had a “street value” of more than $5,800.
The North Missouri Drug Task Force and Linn County Prosecuting Attorney assisted the Brookfield Police in the investigation.
