The Chillicothe Street Department plans to close a portion of Polk Street on Monday morning to smooth the ends of a new bridge in eastern Chililcothe.
The project includes milling and adding hot mix to smooth the ends of the bridge caused by the settling of dirt under the bridge approaches.
The street closure goes from Polk Street and Broadway on the west end, to Polk Street and Missouri Avenue on the east. Motorists will need to use an alternate route during the closure. They are asked to follow all signs.
The affected portion of Polk Street will be closed on Monday morning at 8 o’clock. It should re-open in the early afternoon on the same day.
