Bond reduction was denied in the Associate Division of Linn County Circuit Court on Thursday for a felon who reportedly led law enforcement on a multi-county pursuit last week beginning in Linn County and ending at Marshall.

Matthew Guilford’s bond is $50,000 cash only on felony charges of first-degree trafficking drugs or attempt—over statutory amount and possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana or synthetic cannabinoid.

Authorities said Guilford was wanted on an arrest warrant on those charges as well as a federal parole warrant on an original charge of felon in possession of a firearm. No bond was issued on the parole warrant.

No bond is listed for additional felony charges in Linn County from last week of first-degree assault or attempt—serious physical injury or special victim; armed criminal action; resisting arrest, detention, or stop by fleeing creating a substantial risk of serious injury or death to any person; resisting or interfering with an arrest for a felony, and possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana or synthetic cannabinoid.

Guilford is set for a preliminary hearing on the original and additional Linn County charges on March 12th at 1 pm.
