Bond was taken up and amended by stipulation in Division One of Daviess County Circuit Court on Wednesday for a Belton man accused of leaving someone lying in the road or ditch in Jamesport after restraining him and causing him to lose consciousness twice.

Online court information shows Caleb Kettner’s bond was reset at $50,000 cash with 10% deposit allowed. Conditions include supervision by Supervision Services with GPS monitoring and having no contact with the victim. Bond was originally set at $50,000 cash only in June.

Kettner’s case was continued to September 11th at 10 am. He and co-defendant Connor Monteer of Jamesport have been charged with the felonies of first-degree assault or attempt and second-degree kidnapping.

Online court information indicates Monteer’s bond is also $50,000 cash only. The court amended Monteer’s bond this week to 10% deposit allowed. Conditions include supervision by Supervision Services, must reside with his sister in Trenton, having no contact with the victim or co-defendant, may not leave Grundy County except to attend court and to report to Supervision Services, and electronic monitoring and regular drug testing by Supervision Services.

Other conditions for Monteer include actively seeking employment, maintaining employment, or commencing in an education program; shall not possess a firearm; and a curfew from 9 o’clock at night to 7 o’clock in the morning.

A preliminary hearing for Monteer was set in the Associate Division of Daviess County Circuit Court August 20th at 9 am.
