Big rig accident blocks Highway 136 in Harrison County on Monday

An Iowa truck driver was injured in an accident Monday afternoon three miles west of Mount Moriah in Harrison County.

The highway patrol reports 44-year-old Richard Trout Junior of Seymour, Iowa refused medical treatment at the scene for minor injuries.

Trout was eastbound when his semi-truck traveled off the south side of Highway 136. The driver overcorrected causing the truck and it’s towed unit to overturn. The vehicle skidded back onto the highway coming to rest on its side, blocking the eastbound lane of 136 for awhile on Monday.

The truck was demolished and Trout was using a seat belt.
