Bevier man released on bond arrested 24-hours later for violating probation

A Bevier man released from the Daviess-DeKalb Regional Jail Wednesday on a release on his own recognizance bond was taken back into custody Thursday.

Livingston County Sheriff Steve Cox says 40-year-old William Deonte’ Cooper reportedly met with his bond supervision caseworker on Thursday who discovered Cooper allegedly violated his bond conditions since being released.

The Associate Court issued a felony warrant for Cooper for alleged failure to obey a judge’s order on the original felony charge of delivery of a controlled substance.

Cox reports Caldwell County authorities took him into custody, and he is at the Daviess-DeKalb Regional Jail again. Bond is now set at $15,000 cash.

The Highway Patrol and Livingston County Sheriff’s Office arrested Cooper Monday on a traffic stop on the alleged felony charge of delivery of a controlled substance—methamphetamine.

Deonte’ was booked and charged in Livingston County on Tuesday.
