The Highway Patrol reports a boy from Bethany sustained moderate injuries when he was ejected from a utility vehicle after losing control of it on snow and ice-covered terrain seven miles northeast of Bethany on Tuesday afternoon.

An ambulance transported him to the Harrison County Community Hospital of Bethany.

The vehicle traveled north off-road on private property at East 270th Avenue before beginning to spin, catching traction, overturning onto its driver’s side, and ejecting the driver.

The utility vehicle received moderate damage, and the boy did not wear a safety device.

No names were released due to the youth being a juvenile
