A Bethany woman, 21 year old Melody Grooms, received minor injuries in an accident two miles east of New Hampton. She was taken by private vehicle to the Northwest Medical Center in Albany.
The state patrol reported the cross-over vehicle was eastbound when it topped a hill crest on county road 310. The driver over-corrected causing the vehicle to travel off the south side of the road where it hit the ditch, went air borne, overturned onto its trunk, hit the ditch a second time, before overturning onto its passenger side. The car was demolished.
The report indicated Melody Grooms was not using a seat belt.
