Benefit for David Johnson and family to be held in Mercer

A benefit for a man with a rare kidney cancer will be held at the Mercer School later this month.

The Benefit for David Johnson and Family will be in the Ag Building the evening of May 16th from 5 o’clock to 6:30 and will include a meal of a grilled hot dog or hamburger, chips, drink, and dessert for a free will donation. There will also be drive-by and take-out service.

There will be a raffle for $250 gift cards to Girdner’s and Hometown Fuel, one hour of welding from Westside Welding, and other merchandise from Robinson’s, Casey’s, Dave Niemeyer, Show Me Bargains, Crazy Horse Cafe, Hour Place, and B and H Designs. Raffle tickets will cost $1 for each or $5 for six.

The North Mercer FFA Chapter Awards and Member Auction will follow. The auction will include four three by three by eight bales of first cutting alfalfa hay donated by the Ron Bickel family with proceeds to go to the Johnson family.
